The lights pop, and ukuleles strumming through the cords of electric music blast through the speakers, a green magnolia lighting the runway, and out comes the first model. The Garden Party—that is the Tadashi Shoji Spring/Summer 2012 collection has bloomed!
As described in the guest booklet, the Spring/Summer collection as an “homage to the enchanting beauty and splendor of the tulip. Rich in its color yet delicate its form, this admired bloom is full of live, incessantly evolving and changing shape. A vibrant palette of flora in shades of fern, magnolia, rosebud, and willow are infused in the exquisite fabrics of silk linen, embroidered lace and draped tulle.”
