While fashion week is usually seen as a woman’s game, the men are not to be outdone. Proving that menswear is a viable money maker and men are not just interested in a tee and jeans—enter Andrew Buckler. The British menswear designer launched his Spring/Summer 2012 collection full of funky minimalism—if that is even possible.
The textures were smooth and rugged all at the same time; leather motocross jackets, linen pants, backpacks and “man purses” consumed the collection and were clearly for the man who is not afraid to accessorize. Sheer black tees and many other kinds of beiges and greys were also seen throughout the collection. While each of the models in the lineup was donning the Justin Beiber 2.0, and dewy, glistening skin, I think the modern man looking for a bit of downtown hip has found his match.
