Every week it seems there is a new spin on Guiding light, 90210 or some new reality series.  The worth of good entertainment is often corrupted with sex, lies and drugs, some would arguably say this is what keeps viewers interested.  But how many times can we watch whiney teeny boppers complaining about how tough highschool is or making light of the real world issues that we go through today.  It is understandable that at the end of a long day the most important thing is to come home and relax, to kick your feet up and unwind.  No longer in a realm where a good paperback and a glass of wine, is means of a comfortable evening at home.  Well if you are going to turn on the TV and find some form of entertainment why not, let it be something that shows the likeness of everyone around you, friends, family and most importantly yourself.

So how do I propose this when all that is on TV, is murder mysteries, and reality shows?

From Brown Paper Dolls: For the last 3 years, Asha May,  together with her mentor Debbie Allen, Idris Elba and Lance Gross have created an excellent TV series Milk + Honey. The show was created to showcase diverse images of women of color that are rarely seen on the big or small screen, and also to create more opportunities for black actors.

The “Milk + Honey” scripted series will soon be seen on all platforms and is looking to get picked up by a TV network. Still, they need 1 million views of the trailer.

Take a look at the trailer, and decide for yourself if this new series is worth a look!
