EXUDECares, a facet of EXUDE Magazine, was developed by the executive team to enrich and improve the lives of children, teens and adults by implementing educational and empowerment programs. EXUDE Cares’ main objective is to start programs at a local level with hopes of becoming an international initiative helping men, women and children worldwide, especially in underdeveloped countries. In addition to its individual programs, EXUDE Cares collaborates with other established national and international organizations, to aide in the progression of the human race.
EXUDECares Initiatives:
2010
- December: World AIDS Day; To commemorate World AIDS Day, EXUDECares put together a public service announcement asking people if they were tested for HIV and AIDS. Drawing inspiration from Nike’s “RISE” commercial featuring Lebron James, we developed a short piece to encourage folks to get tested for HIV and AIDS, while at the same time educating people on the alarming statistics. We gathered some of Western New York’s key influential figures to get the word out about the importance of getting tested for this disease.
2012
- March: R.O.S.E. (Rooting Our Sisters in Excellence); R.O.S.E. is the second initiative put into action by EXUDECares. Aiding girls ages 11 to 17; the R.O.S.E. Initiative is a free 12-week empowerment and educational program. Taught by young professional women, the R.O.S.E. initiative’s main focus is to inspire and mentor young girls in their most impressionable years by offering seminars and classes in etiquette, health education, and future planning. Because this program is free, the EXUDE executive team insist on an extensive vetting process for the girls who will attend the program, and guests invited to speak during the program’s discussion periods. The twelfth week will end the program with an awards ceremony, where parents can attend and experience the commencement of their daughters.
