BET’s 7th Annual Rip The Runway on Saturday was full of stars and chic fashion with a fantastic lineup of musical performances including Fabolous, Wiz Khalifa, Kerri Hilson, Melanie Fiona, New Boyz, Miguel and Lloyd.
Supermodel Selita Ebanks and actor Mechad Brooks co-hosted the event showcasing beautiful and impeccably tailored designs by some of the top and up-and-coming designers of color. The show was full of color and rhytmic drumbeats, reminiscent of Caribbean parades and festivals, filling intermissions with vibrant sounds and exuberant lighting.
Designer Tennille White showcased designs for curvy women, young designers Jordan White and Charlie Brown showed that even in your mid-twenties you can develop a fresh and cohesive collection for the modern-day male for their line Man vs. Machine, and Selita Ebanks debuted her funky fashion line. Other wonderful designers who showed were Lila Nikole, WISB “Way It Should Be” Apparel, Laquan Smith, and Rachel Roy.
This event premieres for all to see on Monday, March 21st at 10pm ET/PT.
